Design Contest Results are In!

Just in Time for the Holidays, the South West Chapter of AIFD presented a Design Contest, hosted by the AIFD Foundation, to endow the South West Chapter Fund.

The AIFD Foundation expresses appreciation to each and every floral designer and floral enthusiast who took the time to “rock that tree” and contributed most generously to help endow the South West Chapter Fund. A thank you also goes to those who chose to contribute, preferring not to compete.

The entries moved forward to the prestigious Panel of Judges to be evaluated to a scale of points based on Design Principles and Elements with points additionally considered for interpretation of theme. The entire process was completed with judges only knowing the entry number. A thorough review of the scoring was completed prior to announcement.

As a result of this process the First, Second and Third Place Winners have been named!

To AIFD South West Chapter President Su Bean AIFD and the Regional Chapter Board, the AIFD Foundation Board of Trustees congratulates you on a clever idea to provide a platform for a holiday contest while increasing awareness of the Chapter’s goal to endow the South West Chapter Fund within the AIFD Foundation.

To the panel of judges, your understanding of principles and elements and your expertise in holiday design elevated the standard of this contest. Thank you not only for the time you spent in evaluation but also the comments shared so that each contestant may learn from the experience. You are most appreciated!

Contest participation brought the South West Chapter Fund closer to endowment. Once endowed, interest and dividends will expand floral design education in the South West Region into perpetuity! The goal has not quite been met. The AIFD South West Chapter invites you to contribute, when and what you can, so that the benefits of the fund may soon be available!

First Place Winner will receive the following prizes:

$300 (US) made possible by the South West Chapter of AIFD
AIFD® Portfolio Book Artistic Floral Design

Second Place Winner will receive the following prizes:

$200 (US) made possible by the South West Chapter of AIFD
AIFD® Portfolio Book Artistic Floral Design

Third Place Winner will receive the following prizes:

$100 (US) made possible by the South West Chapter of AIFD
AIFD® Portfolio Book Artistic Floral Design

The goal to endow the South West Chapter Fund has not quite been met! The AIFD South West Chapter invites you to contribute when and what you can so that the benefits of the fund may soon be available! Once the South West Chapter Fund reaches endowment, floral design education will be expanded in the South West Region. We invite you to join the many who have contributed to endow this Fund.
